In the news lately, there has been a lot of press about a vaccine which has been approved for tuberculosis (BCG), that could potentially prevent or delay the outbreak of Type 1 Diabetes.
Although diabetics wouldn’t be able to stop using insulin just yet, studies have shown that this vaccine is capable of increasing the amount of regulatory T-cells and killing bad T-cells, allowing the pancreas to function for brief periods of time.  These types of articles bring a lot of hope Here are some interesting articles:
